Active Order Window
All orders are entered into the Live order box and float here until filled or cancelled.

Message Window
Shows all orders that have been executed, cancelled, rejected or are no longer active for any other reason.

Position Manager Box
This area displays your open positions (if any), your P&L for the day and the number of shares you've traded for the day. All open positions are marked to the market.

Order Entry Preference Box
Enables a trader to route his order directly to MM's or ECN's. This box can be setup so that it remains open on the screen at all times or just remains open while the trader is entering orders. A trader may also set it up so that the box updates real time as new MM's and ECN's come into and leave the market.

Direct Connections to the ECN Servers with Backups to SelectNet
Built for speed the Graybox system offers direct connection to the ECN servers, which can make a difference in speed of a second or more. Many firms utilize third party quotes, adding another step to the process. During traditionally high traffic times such as the open and the close, orders routed through SelectNet, for example, could be as much as five seconds slower, an eternity in this business.

Graybox Quote Display
The Graybox quote display system displays quotes from the MM's and ECN's. Any open position's in a stock will also show up on the quote display. As you watch the market changing you can monitor your position without having to take your eyes off the quote display.
You can select a variety of options in the Market Makers box, including Sort by volume. You can then route your order to the Market Maker or ECN with the highest volume.
And Graybox is set right now for decimalization, so that when it's fully implemented, the software is ready to go.
